Home Appliance Care and Maintenance Tips to save you money and make your appliances last longer:

Washing machine

Leave door ajar after each cycle to prevent moisture, damp smells and mold from growing on the gasket.
Clean washer filter when necessary and run a maintenance cycle by following instructions on your manual.
Avoid throwing heavy towels, pillows and bedding together in your washer to avoid ruining the drum if loads are not balanced properly.

Dryer:

Dry your socks and small items in a laundry bad as some of these items are small enough and may create an issue for your dryer.
Regularly empty the lint trap and clean up inside the dryer to avoid accumulation of lint which can become a fire hazard.
Clean the inside of your dryer vent and duct.

Oven/ Cooktop:

Don’t let any liquids or food from boiling over as they may affect your burners and stop igniting.
Clean your oven regularly and wipe glass or ceramic hobs with a soft cloth or sponge after each use. This prevents food remnants. It ensures you can use your ceramic hob longer.
